Social Skills Enrichment with Ms. Lazar

We are excited to announce that Ms. Lazar, our Lower School Guidance Counselor, will be starting an afterschool Social Skills Enrichment Program. This enrichment is designed to help students build essential social and emotional skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Focus:

• Building Healthy Friendships: Learning how to make and maintain positive, respectful friendships.
• Emotional Regulation and Expression: Understanding and expressing emotions in healthy ways.
• Conflict Resolution: Developing strategies to resolve conflicts peacefully and respectfully.
• Kindness: Promoting empathy and kindness towards others.
• Calming Strategies: Introducing techniques to help students manage stress and emotions in challenging situations.

Program Goals:

• Strengthen life skills such as communication, teamwork, and self-awareness.
• Foster social skills that help students navigate everyday interactions with confidence and empathy.
• Encourage emotional well-being and resilience by providing tools to manage feelings and challenges.

The Social Skills Enrichment offers a great opportunity for students to develop key skills that will benefit them both in school and in life. We look forward to the growth and positive impact this program will bring to our students!
